Ron Jones

"Ron Jones is the Founder and Editorial Director of Green Builder® Media. Considered to be one of the fathers of the green building movement, Ron has been instrumental in setting guidelines and standards with the two largest organizations in the building industry, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the US Green Building Council (USGBC). In fact, he is the only person ever to serve as a member of the Boards of Directors for both of these organizations.

He served as charter chairman of the NAHB Green Building Subcommittee and is an original member of the LEED Homes Committee for the USGBC. Ron is also the owner of Sierra Custom Builders, a national, award-winning design/build company that specializes in challenging site projects and environmentally appropriate construction.

He has served as a speaker and consultant to a variety of organizations including the American Solar Energy Society, National Recycling Association, Sustainable Buildings Industry Council, NAHB, USGBC, International Housing Conference of the Americas, Fannie Mae Partnership Foundation, National Arbor Day Foundation, and many others in the private and public sectors. Steve Easley

Steve Easley is an internationally recognized construction consultant specializing in solving building science related problems and educating building industry professionals and their trade partners. His work focuses on increasing quality of construction, sustainability and reducing costly mistakes that lead to construction defects and call backs. Services provided include job site quality analysis, design review, educational seminars, mediation and product consulting.

Steve is nationally known for his cost effective, practical approaches to building high performance structures and quality assurance. Steve’s mission is helping industry professionals build & remodel structures that are durable, energy efficient, healthy and comfortable to live and work in.

He has more than 30 years of industry experience. He has performed thousands of jobsite quality surveys and presented numerous building science seminars to construction professionals around the world with an annual audience of 8-10,000 industry professionals. He is a frequently requested speaker because of his practical approach to building science, his dynamic speaking style and his unique ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms that can be integrated into practice. Bob Kingery

Co-founder and Director of Operations, Bob co-founded Southern Energy Management in 2001 with his wife, Maria.

He has been involved with the sustainable energy industry for more than twenty years, including 17 years in business development and operations, with a focus on manufacturing, design, consultation and planning. Bob has been involved with every aspect of running a sustainable business; he has worked as a solar technician, solar engineer, home energy rater, plant engineer, and director of manufacturing and operations. His first-hand knowledge of energy efficiency, green building and renewable energy give him a unique perspective to lead our growing team of nearly 50 sustainable energy professionals, with offices in Raleigh, Charlotte and Greenville, SC. Michael has served on the H.U.D. Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing committee since 2001 and is a frequent speaker around the country on green building and remodeling issues. He has an MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA; an MA from Southwest Texas State University; and a BA from the University of Texas in Austin.

Peter Pfeiffer is a LEED accredited professional Architect and Building Scientist who has spent the past 30 years developing pragmatic high performance building design strategies. In 2004 he was named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects for his life-long commitment to "mainstreaming green building in North America”.

The National Association of Home Builders honored him as the “National Green Advocate of the Year” in 2003 for his life-long achievements in “mainstreaming” green building. Peter has been an active charter member of the NAHB Green Building Subcommittee since its inception in 1999 and has been active in the recent US Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes pilot program.

In 2006 Residential Architect cited him as one of the 10 most influential residential architects of past decade.
